Church of St. Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir in commemoration of the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Kievan Rus
Kyiv

The temple in honor of the Baptist of Kievan Rus, St. Prince Vladimir, is located on the bank of the Dnieper, on Naberezhnoye Highway, directly at the foot of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. The complex is solved in the strict traditions of ancient Rus and Byzantium, from which Orthodoxy came to Kievan Rus.

The Church complex includes a bell tower, a baptismal temple, a diorama of the Baptism of Kievan Rus with the Museum of the History of Orthodoxy, cells, a refectory, economic premises. The baptismal temple is located, as it were, on a cape that faces the Dnieper. The baths are arranged around it (the solution was taken as a counterpart to the Jordan baths) with changing rooms placed adjacently, at the level of the Dnieper there are baths built into the embankment (due to a drop in marks more than three meters from the Temple level). Baths allow the simultaneous stay in them for more than 200 people.
